Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is an operation where the cartilaginous and bony skeleton of the nose are modified according to the problem, in order to achieve a functional but aesthetically acceptable shaped nose.

One only needs to wait 7-10 days in order to have the post-op swelling reduced and the plaster removed. Besides aesthetic reasons one can also have a rhinoplasty due to breathing problems.

On these occasions the nasal diaphragm is operated upon as well. The new shape of the nose is extensively discussed pre-operatively and both the patient and doctor make the decision.
